School students will recite the Preamble to the Constitution during morning meetings in Rajasthan from this Republic Day, Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara said on Friday.
Dotasara said doing so would help keep intact the sentiments towards national unity, sovereignty and respect towards all religion among the students.
"This is utmost needed today in the kind of atmosphere which is being created. By spreading the message of the Preamble to the Constitution, unity and harmony can be maintained," he said, after attending a meeting of various organisations working in the education sector here.
He said the state government was making efforts to provide quality education in schools.
