School van driver arrested for molesting minor girl in Raj

A school van driver was arrested today for allegedly molesting a 5-year-old girl in Shyam Nagar area here.
The accused, identified as Dilip Adhikari, aged around 35 years, allegedly used to molest the girl inside the van on way to her home from school, SHO Shyam Nagar Police Station Sudhir Upadhyay said.
For the last two months, the accused had been dropping the girl last and when she was alone in the van, he allegedly molested her, the SHO said.
"Noticing change in the victim's behaviour, the girl's mother asked her the reason following which she narrated the incident," he said.

On the basis of a complaint by the victim's mother, an FIR was registered against the van driver and he was arrested, Upadhyay said.
A case has been registered against the accused under section 354 of IPC (outrage her modesty) and relevant sections of POCSO act, he added.
