Senior AAP leader Ashutosh said, in February the government had appointed Grace Pinto, managing director of the Ryan International Group, as a director of the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI), a public sector undertaking under the ministry of textiles.
The website of CCI states that Pinto is an independent director with the PSU.
"Even as parents across the country are pained by the gruesome murder of a young boy at Ryan International Group's school, the management is being protected by the BJP government. Not only is Grace Pinto a member of the BJP, she has also reportedly organised a membership drive for teachers and children in her schools," Ashutosh claimed.
The boy's killing has led to a massive outrage among the parents of wards studying at Ryan International Schools.
"When another such incident involving the death of a young child at Ryan School, Vasant Kunj, had taken place last year, we had demanded that it be investigated by the CBI. However, even at the time the BJP government was uninterested in going after the Ryan management," the AAP leader alleged.
