"All schools in Reasi district remained closed on April 3 and would continue to remain shut on April 4, 2015 in view of...Inclement weather," District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Sushma Chauhan said today.
This step has been taken to ensure safety and security of students and teachers in view of the threat of flood and landslides due to incessant rains in the last two days.
In the wake of prevailing adverse weather condition in the district, the District Development Commissioner also convened a meeting of civil administration, BRO and other allied agencies.
All the tehsildars of the district were also directed to inform people to take all precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, a special control room has been established at Mini Secretariat, Reasi, to monitor the situation.
