Nearly 2,000 labourers and a number of engineering, telecom and operating staff are deployed to finish the replacement of RRI within the stipulated period.
Some of the trains from Howrah to Chennai are being terminated either at Eluru or Visakhapatnam while some others run via Vijayawada bypass, Kazipet, Kacheguda, according to the South Central railway press release.
The trains from New Delhi to Chennai are now being run via Kazipet and Secunderabad, Renigunta.
Trains from Chennai and Bangalore are being terminated at Guntur or Krishna canal.
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has announced to provide link buses to the rail passengers to reach Vijayawada from the newly formed temporary rail terminals like Gannavaram, Rayanapadu and other places.
