The joint weekly report on the vector-borne disease updated the figure from six to 10 by the week ending December 17, after a "review of case sheets" by Death Review Committee.
"These deaths are in time lag and not fresh dengue deaths," a senior municipal corporation officer said.
A total of 4,384 cases of dengue had come to light and 10 deaths occured, it said. In the week ending December 10, the number of dengue cases were 4,337, and six deaths occured.
Forty seven new cases of dengue have also been reported, although a dip in temperature has slowed down the spread of the disease.
Out of a total 4,384 dengue cases, SDMC reported the maximum number of 1,779 cases. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) reported 1,161 and 8,65 cases, respectively.
SDMC tabulates the data for dengue in the national capital on behalf of all civic bodies in the national capital.
The report also mentioned 17 suspected deaths due to Malaria. In one of worst outbreak of Chikungunya in Delhi, a total of 12,201 cases were reported out of which 9,725 were confirmed till December 17, the report said.
