Sea lizards, sea horses worth Rs 2 lakh seized

Sea lizards and sea horses, both endangered species, Worth Rs two lakh, were seized from three persons today at a coastal hamlet in Ramanthapuram district, police said.
The seizure from Mankundu village included 142 sea lizards and 93 sea horses.
The species were being smuggled to Sri Lanka where they fetch a premium rate because of their purported medicinal value.
