Based on information given by Kannan, one of the five Maoists recently arrested from Karumathapatti, near here, police officials, including from Q Branch, took him to Kumarapuram, in search of two hardcore activists, police said.
Kannan was in the police custody for the last few days, as part of interrogation in a case with a Maoist in Aliyar.
However, there was no no trace of the activists Nagaraj, who is running the library-cum reading centre and Santhosh.
Police have collected printed materials from there, they said.
