Shayam Sorte, 54, posted at Dhanora taluka was nabbed red-handed while he was accepting Rs 15,000 as bribe from an assistant engineer who sought confidential report of the department for period between 2012 and 2015 from the former.
Sorte for handing over the report demanded Rs 25,000 as bribe and the deal was settled at Rs 15,000, an ACB press release issued here said.
The assistant engineer then lodged a complaint with the ACB, Gadchiroli, following which a trap was laid at Sorte's residence and he was apprehended.
