Ex serviceman Narayan Singh, 48, posted as a security guard at State Bank of India branch of Chawani circle area accidentally pulled the trigger of his service gun, SHO Gumanpura Rajesh Soni said.
The bullet hit the ceiling of the building and no was injured in the incident, the police official said.
"The guard was walking in the bank with his service gun when he accidentally pulled the trigger," Soni said.
A case under section 336 of IPC (Act endangering life or personal safety of others) has been registered against the guard and the matter is being probed, he said.
