A 64-year-old security guard died and two others were injured when part of the wall of a mall collapsed here on Friday night, police said.
The deceased was identified as Jai prakash Sharma.
Sharma worked as a watchman at Poonam Inox Mall in Lakadganj area here. While he was on duty, part of the boundary wall of the mall collapsed around 11.45 Friday night, police said.
Two others including a woman were injured, said police inspector Bhanudas Pidurkar.
Police have registered a case of causing death by negligence under IPC section 304 A against the owner of the building N Kumar as he was allegedly aware that the wall had weakened, he said.
No arrest has been made yet.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Saturday issued a notice to the owner, asking him to remove the dilapidated part in 24 hours.
