Security guard shoots self in Ghaziabad

A 50-year-old security guard allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself using his licensed gun this morning in Vandana Enclave of Khoda area here, police said.
Deputy SP Atul Yadav told the Veerbhan, a resident of Farukhabad district, was employed as a security guard at a private company and was a habitual drunkard.
He demanded money from his son for purchasing liquor today morning but he denied, following which Veerbhan took the extreme step, police said.
The body has been sent for postmortem and Khoda police is investigating the case, police added.
