Security personnel recovers bomb in West Singhbhum district

Security personnel today recovered a bomb from under-construction school building in Porangair jungle of naxal-hit West Singhbhum district, police said.
Acting on a tip off, the Bandgaon police along with 60B Battalion of CRPF launched a search operation in the jungle and spotted wire on the surface, about 200 meters from the school building, they said.
Following the wire's other end, the security personnel detected the bomb, weighed 45 kg, kept in a drum.
The security personnel immediately removed it and the bomb was later defused, sources said, adding that the explosive was kept to target the security personnel.
Police also recovered the wire, sources added.
