"Doors in corridors will be installed and after office hours, only one door will remain open. Guards will be deputed to monitor the movement of personnel," Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said in Rajya Sabha today.
Pradhan, who was responding to a query on the leakage of documents from the ministry to corporates, said following the "theft" reported last month, additional almirahs with locks have been provided to officers and sections.
More CCTVs are also being installed in the ministry.
Pradhan said it has been "reiterated that all officials of the ministry should strictly follow the procedure prescribed in Ministry of Home Affairs' guidelines regarding security of official files and documents."
At least 12 people, including some employees of the Petroleum Ministry, were arrested after the leakage came to light.
To a supplementary, Pradhan said investigations were on and anybody found guilty in the documents leakage case would be punished as per law.
To a separate question, he said LPG coverage in Bihar was 30 per cent compared to the national average of 67.5 per cent.
