Seeded shuttlers enter third round of All India Sub-Junior

Seeded shuttlers Tukumla, Pryanshu Rajawat and Pawan Krishn Thokla comfortably moved into the third round in Boy's Under-15 category after defeating their respective opponents at the All India Sub-Junior Ranking Badminton Championship here today.
Top seed Tukumla of Arunachal Pradesh beat Sharan Naik of Andhra Pradesh 21-15, 21-17 in the second round fixture, while the second seed Priyanshu Rajawat (Madhya Pradesh) registered a facile win over Punshibayengkhom (Manipur) 21-14, 21-9 to book his berth in the third round.
Pawan Krishn Thokla (Andhra Pradesh) defeated Amit Kumar Mishra (Jharkhand) 21-8, 21-5, while Jayant Rana (Haryana) beat Edwin Joy (Kerala) 15-21, 21-15 and 21-11.
Sai Charan Koya (AP) thrashed Mayank Chowdhury (Delhi) 21-13, 21-15 to make it to the third round.
In the Boy's section Under-13 category, top seed Pranov Rao Gandham of Telengana beat Ramvilash Kumar (Bihar) 21-9, 21-7, while second seed Shankar muthuswami (Tamil Nadu) defeated Dushyan Jha (UP) 21-8, 21-18.
While other seeded players like Upananda of Manipur, Sai Vishnu Pullela of Telengana and Bharat of Haryana also moved into the third round defeating Adarsh (TN), Vivek Raj (TN) and Dhar mangma (AP) respectively.
In the first round of under-15 boy's doubles category, top seeded pair of Tukumla and P Thokla beat Ritwik Roy and Prakhar Shreshtha after the pair conceded defeat with the score reading 17-12 in the first set due to injuries to one of the shuttlers. I Bhatnagar and P Rajawat defeat Manish Kumar and M. Ali Khan Meer 21-16, 21-15 in another encounter in the doubles category.
Adwin Joy and Arvind Suresh beat Chayaneet joshi and Arshad by 22-20, 21-11, while J Rana and T Singh defeated Vidya Sagar and Punshiba 21-12, 21-23, 21-14.
In the Under-13 boy's doubles, B Gandham and N Pulela beat Ansh Gupta and Akash 21-13, 21-17, While another pair of Bharat and Anmol Jun beat Vijay and Kelvin 24-22,21-13. In other matches, S Singh and S Yakala beat Anish Raj and Adarsh 21-13, 21-12, while S Rao and S K beat Mohit and Numair 19-21, 21-17, 21-19.
