Select base metals, including tin, brass utensils scrap and copper scrap heavy, declined in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here on selling by stockists amid lower demand from industrial users.
Elsewhere, copper sheet cutting moved up following better offtake from consumer industries.
On the global front, industrial metal copper rose in early Asian trade, extending gains from the previous day as the export component of a Chinese factory survey climbed, offering modest price support.
Tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,160 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,165 and brass utensils scrap eased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 287 from Rs 289.
Copper scrap heavy also softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 397.
However, copper sheet cutting edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 385 as against Rs 383 previously.
