Select base metals move up on modest demand

Select copper, brass, aluminium and zinc prices gained in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid modest demand from industrial users.
On the global front, industrial metals were trading firm at the LME, after better than expected US sales data.
Aluminium ingots climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 175 from Monday's closing level of Rs 172.
Copper armiture, copper wire bar, brass sheet cutting, and zinc all inched-up a Re per kg each to Rs 455, Rs 508, Rs 341 and Rs 187, respectively.
However, lead softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 138.
