Select base metals recover on renewed demand

Led by Tin, select base metals prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amidst renewed demand from industrial users.
Nickel fell further on sustained stockists selling following subdued demand from alloy industries.
The industrial metals was trading higher at the LME, as investors awaited economic data from China for clues on demand in the world's top copper consumer.
Tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,575 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,580.
Brass sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 353 from Rs 351.
Copper armature, copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and lead inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 481, Rs 456, Rs 475, Rs 340 and Rs 129 respectively.
However, nickel declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 995 as against Rs 1,000 yesterday.
