Select base metals weaken on lower offtake

Select base metals weakened at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling amid lower demand from industrial users.
Tin prices declined by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,275 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,285 and zinc prices slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 205 as against to Rs 210 yesterday.
Copper sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 365 as compared to Rs 367 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils, copper wire bar and brass sheet cuttings softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 380, Rs 374, Rs 348, Rs 408 and Rs 291, respectively.
However, Nickel moved up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 715 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 710.
Brass utensils scrap and lead inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 286 and Rs 131 respectively.
