Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations eased by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following restricted cargo movements amid excess position of trucks.
Transporters said tight cargo movements as compared to comfortable position of trucks mainly led to drop in freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Kochi, Coimbatore and Hyderabad freight rates moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 81,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 58,000.
Rates to Guwahati, Pune and Mumbai also fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 59,000, Rs 32,000 and Rs 30,000.
