Select edible oils decline on sluggish demand, global cues

Select edible oil prices drifted up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on sluggish demand amid weak global trend.
Linseed oil, in the non-edible section, also declined on reduced offtake by paint industries.
Traders said sluggish demand from retailers amid weak global trend mainly led to decline in select edible oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil declined 1.4 per cent to USD 795 metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery oil fell further by Rs 100 to Rs 10,200 per quintal.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) also moved down by Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 7,400 and Rs 7,200 per quintal respectively on weak global cues.

In the non-edible section, linseed oil shed Rs 50 to Rs 7,400 per quintal.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,120-1,340.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,400, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,100, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 10,200, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,400, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,200, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,700, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,300, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,700, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,350, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,900-1,950.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,400, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,400-9,500, Neem 5,300-5,400, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
