Select pulses remain weak on sluggish demand

Select pulses remained weak for the second day and prices fell up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to muted demand at prevailing levels.
Traders said muted demand from retailers at current levels against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept select pulses down.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold shed another Rs 50 each to Rs 4,400-5,000 and Rs 4,450-5,050 per quintal respectively.
Its dal local and best quality followed suit and eased by a similar margin to Rs 5,400-5,900 and Rs 5,500-6,000 per quintal respectively.
Malka local and best quality also traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,800-6,300 and Rs 5,900-6,300 per quintal.

Moth too enquired lower by Rs 100 at Rs 5,300-5,700 per quintal.
