Select pulses slide on muted demand, adequate supply

The wholesale pulses market ended on a weak note today as prices of select pulses led by urad fell by up to Rs 300 per quintal owing to slackened demand from retailers.
Traders said besides easing demand from retailers at prevailing levels, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts mainly kept urad and other pulses' prices lower.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local plunged by Rs 300 each to Rs 6,000-7,000 and Rs 6,300-6,400 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 6,400-6,900 and Rs 6,800-7,100 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,750 and Rs 6,600-8,400 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,000-5,200 and Rs 5,500-5,700 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired lower by the same margin to Rs 6,100-6,600 and Rs 6,600-6,800 per quintal.
Masoor small and bold too ended lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,750-4,900 and Rs 4,800-5,000 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 5,100-5,600 and Rs 5,200-5,700 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 4,750-4,900, bold Rs 4,800-5,000, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,100-5,600, best quality Rs 5,200-5,700, Malka local Rs 5,200-5,400, best Rs 5,300-5,500, Moth Rs 3,700-4,100, Arhar Rs 4,750, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,600-8,400.
Gram Rs 6,400-6,800, Gram dal (local) Rs 7,300-7,600, best quality Rs 7,700-7,800, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,200, Rajdhani Rs 3,200, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,200-10,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,400-9,900, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,700-2,725 and green Rs 2,900-3,000.
