The departments were asked to ensure three per cent quota to visually impaired persons as per Supreme Court directive in all A, B, C and D category posts.
The government asked the departments to send the report within one month to the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities wing of the Social Security Department, Punjab.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting presided by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, an official spokesman said.
The Punjab government had earlier asked all the heads of the departments to furnish details regarding the filling up of the posts of visually impaired according to the three per cent reservation.
He also said that the backlog of vacancies would be covered especially for the persons with disabilities.
