Senior Congress leader and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram has joined the popular micro blogging site Twitter and says he is on board for sharing serious views.
"Hello! On #Twitter for sharing serious commentary on contemporary issues.,"he said in his first Tweet posted at 11.25 pm yesterday. His official Twitter handle is https: //twitter.Com/PChidambaram_IN.
As already some persons have Twitter accounts by the same name "P Chidambaram", some had requested the former minister's son Karti who is on the micro blogging site since 2009 to confirm if it was a genuine Twitter account of his father.
So far, P Chidambaram has made three tweets, he is following seven and has 2,906 followers.
Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, DMK top leaders Karunanidhi, MK Stalin and PMK leader S Ramadoss already have Twitter accounts.
However, AIADMK supremo and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa doesn't have one.
