Senior IPS officer Vishwajeet Mahapatra posted as DG of CBCID in Uttar Pradesh

Senior IPS officer and Director General of Special Investigation Vishwajeet Mahapatra was on Wednesday transferred and posted as the DG of CBCID in Uttar Pradesh.

ADG of Rules and Manuals Chandra Prakash will assume the post held by Mahapatra, according to an order issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi.

ADG, Police Training Centre (PTC) in Moradabad, Brijraj has been made its DG, while DG of Police Recruitment R K Vishwakarma has been given additional charge of Fire Services.

The transfers were effected following retirement of IPS officers Javeed Ahmad and Virendra Kumar on March 31.
