Sindhu plays for Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), which is participating in the championship.
Ruthika Shivani, Pranab Chopra, Srikanth, Siril, Chirag Sen and Sayali Ghokhle will be among the 500 players who will be seen in action in the seven-day championship.
The tournament is being conducted in Patna for the second time, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, organising president and state finance minister, told reporters.
Rs 10 lakh will be distributed among the winners of the tournament.
Siddiqui said he has written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to felicitate Sindhu along with Olympic bronze medal winner Sakshi Mallik on behalf of the state government.
