SER surpasses Rail Board's freight target

South Eastern Railway (SER) has surpassed the Railway Board's loading target of 134 Million tonnes in the freight operations in the financial Year 2015-16.
The total freight loading achieved in the year 2015-16 has been 134.22 million tones, 10.17 million tones more than what was achieved last year (124.05 million tones), registering an improvement of 8.2 per cent, according to an SER release here today.
As far as the coaching operations are concerned, the punctuality performance of South Eastern Railway for Mail/Express trains have improved from 92.9 per cent in 2014-15 to 93.47 in 2015-16, the release added.
