Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), a J&K government supported organisation, will be organising a series of cultural programmes with a view to showcase the rich heritage of the state.
"A calendar of important activities has been drawn for the next three months. A two-day Kashmir Heritage exhibition will be held on September 18 and 19 to showcase rich legacy of Kashmir through art, craft, musical instruments, archaeology, costume, manuscripts and images," JKAACL Secretary Khalid Bashir Ahmad said today.
Khalid said a two-day cultural festival will start from today at Kargil in Ladakh region featuring an art camp, seminar on local languages, Urdu Mushaira and a cultural evening.
As part of the series of language conferences started by the academy last year, a conference on Pahari language will be held at Rajouri in Jammu region on September 22-23 followed by conferences in Gojri, Urdu, Hindi and Ladakhi languages.
