Services reach 400-8 against Andra on day 2 in Ranji Trophy

Shamsher Yadav completed a superb century to guide Services to a mammoth 400-8 against Andra Pradesh at stumps on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group C match at Holkar Cricket Stadium here today.
Resuming at an overnight score of 170-3, Services added another 230 runs, riding on a 431-ball 136 by Shamsher and a 151-ball 95-run unbeaten innings by G Rahul Singh.
Shamsher, who started the day at an overnight score of 60, blasted 15 boundaries and a six in his innings, while Rahul hit 13 fours.
At the draw of stumps, Rahul was at the crease along with DG Pathania (5).

Vikas Yadav (16) was the first to be dismissed today after he was runout by Ashwin Hebbar in the 96th over. Raushan Raj (27) too was run out in the 134th over as Services lost half their side at 250 in 133.3 overs.
Overnight batsman Shamsher then was sent back to the hut by Bhargav Bhatt in the 166th. Nakul Sharma (2) and Azaruddin Bloch (1) then were removed by Bhatt and Ravi Teja.
