Principal of Maruti Inter college, Rajendra Prasad Tripathi was shot dead at Keshari crossing under Atraulia police station area on February 28, 2006 and the manager of the college and his five sons besides a former principal were named in the FIR filed in this connection, prosecution sources said.
Additional district and sessions judge Ram Krishna Shukla awarded life sentence to manager Laxmi Narain Pandey, his sons -- Rajesh Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Amit Kumar, Umesh and Ramesh besides former principal Shyam Narain Pandey.
He also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on each of them.
