Seven of a gang nabbed for bike theft

Seven members of a gang were arrested and 21 stolen bikes recovered from their possession at Mandawar Road here, police said.
The thieves who were arrested on Saturday night used to sell off the bikes through OLX by using fake documents, SP Umesh Kumar Srivastava said.
The accused used to lure the buyers by offering bikes at prices as low as Rs. 8,000, he said.
After stealing the bikes, they used to take them to a nearby garage where their engines and other parts were exchanged with one another, he said.
All the accused have been sent to jail, Srivastava said.
