Disclosing this, SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar today said, due to immense demand of Guru Granth Sahib, the SGPC executive committee today unanimously resolved to start printing of the Guru Granth Sahib in Canada by setting up a printing press in near future.
There is a blanket ban by the SGPC on publishing of the holy Guru Granth Sahib by any private publisher in Punjab.
The SGPC at Golden Temple has the sole right of printing of the holy Guru Granth Sahib in the state and it has set up an ultra modern press in Amritsar for the purpose.
