The three-minute-12 second long trailer, which was launched on August 11 is a quirky romantic treat, featuring Shahid as Jagjinder Joginder and Alia as Alia.
Overwhelmed with the response to the trailer Alia, 22, said it gave a 'perfect start' to her Monday.
"Some #Shaandaar love happening... Perfect start to our Monday ;).. JJ what you feel ?? @shahidkapoor," she tweeted.
The film, pitched as the first destination wedding movie of Bollywood, also star's Shahid's real life father Pankaj Kapur playing Alia's.
"Shaandaar" is directed by "Queen" helmer Vikas Bahl and co-produced by Phantom Films, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox. It will hit theatres on October 22.
