Union ministers Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari will be in Goa this month to interact with BJP workers in connection with the party's membership drive, a functionary said on Sunday.

BJP Goa general secretary Sadanand Tanavade said the two senior BJP leaders would be in the state on official trips and would spare time to meet party workers.

He added that the BJP had managed to add 1.8 lakh new members during its drive so far in the state's 40 Assembly constituencies, the target being four lakh.
