"I like Shah Rukh Khan as the kind of energy that he brings in for a film is amazing," said Mustafa, son of film director Abbas.
Mustafa, on a lighter note, said he was quite scared of actor Arbaaz Khan, who played a negative role in "Daraar", co-directed by his father.
Mustafa is making his acting debut with "Machine" helmed by Abbas-Mustan.
"When I was assisting them (Abbas-Mustan) we were working on the script (of "Machine") and I really liked it. I wanted to do it. But I couldn't say so to them," he said.
"I was pleasantly shocked. I was called in the office, I enacted the scenes and in between I was told I am doing the film. I liked the script... It's a challenging role," Mustafa said.
The romantic thriller also features Kiara Advani, who recently had a successful outing with Sushant Singh Rajput in "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story".
"Doing action was difficult. Abbas-Mustan usually give equally good role to their heroes and heroines. It was exciting. I always wanted to be an Abbas-Mustan heroine," she said.
