BJP president Amit Shah will be on a day-long visit to Odisha tomorrow as part of his nationwide tour to gear up the organisation for upcoming elections, including the Lok Sabha polls next year.
He will hold a number of meetings with party in-charges of the state's Lok Sabha and assembly seats, BJP media head Anil Baluni said in a statement.
The Lok Sabha and assembly polls in Odisha are scheduled to be held together next year.
The BJP chief will also speak at a social media workshop e, the statement said.
Shah has eyed the eastern state as one of the 'growth regions' for the party, which could win only one of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in 2014.
The BJP believes that it has become a principal challenger to the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government in the state, leaving the Congress behind.
