Investigation into the case against Samajwadi Party MLA Nahid Hasan for allegedly threatening reporters for covering the killing of an eight-year-old boy in Shamli district has been handed over to crime branch, police said today.

District authorities yesterday handed over the investigation into the case to crime branch, SP Vijay Bhushan said.

The SP workers were celebrating the victory of party candidate Nafisa in the local body polls from the town when eight-year-old Sami, who was passing by Kairana area in a rickshaw, was killed in the firing.
