Sharad hails HC order on govt servant children going to govt

Hailing the Allahabad High Court order asking the UP government to ensure that people drawing their salary from public exchequer send their children to the state-run schools, JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav today said it will help improve the quality of primary and secondary education.
"It will help improve the deteriorating status of the quality of primary and secondary education in government schools. When the children of these officials would be sent to government schools, the quality of teachers and education will automatically increase.
"Although 90 per cent of our population is studying in these schools presently, yet their condition is very shabby almost everywhere in the country," he said in a statement.

The Allahabad High Court had yesterday asked the Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary to ensure that government servants, elected representatives and members of judiciary "and all other persons who get any benefit or salary from state exchequer or public fund" send their children to primary schools run by state Board for Secondary Education.
Yadav said if this decision was implemented all over the country, the recruitment of the teachers will occur regularly and their quality will also go up.
"I am of the opinion that this decision should be implemented as fast as possible in the schools all over the country," he said.
