"Joshi is an old friend. I know that he is one person who speaks truth," Sharad Yadav told reporters in Gaya while reacting to remarks of the veteran BJP leader.
"Though I have no personal talk with him over the issue but considering his personality I could say he speaks truth," the JD(U) chief said.
Yadav, who is contesting Lok Sabha seat from Madhepura, said despite publicity blitzkrieg no "Modi wave" was visible anywhere in Bihar and other parts of the country.
LJP President Ramvilas Paswan told reporters at Patna Airport that its true that the wind was blowing in favour of BJP whose representative in the present Parliamentary election was Narendra Modi.
Another BJP ally, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) sought to play safe.
"Its internal matter of BJP," RLSP Chief Upendra Kushwaha said.
He, however, said that a change was very much in the air against Congress at the Centre and Nitish Kumar in the state.
BJP leaders Sushil Kumar Modi and Giriraj Singh toed the party line and sought to play down the controversy over Joshi's remarks and asserted that the party was upbeat to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister of the country.
