Department of Personnel issued Sharma's transfer order on the recommendation and compliance of the Election Commission's order to the post of CEO, the spokesman said here.
Sharma was till now the chairman of Indira Gandhi Canal Board. The post of CEO was lying vacant after the transfer of A K Jain to the Urban Development and Housing department as additional chief secretary.
