Sheena Bora murder case accused Indrani Mukerjea's son Mikhail Bora today told the trial court here that he believed that his mother had planned to kill him too.

"In August 2015, I came to know that Didi (Sheena) had been murdered by Indrani, Sanjeev Khana and driver (Shyamvar Rai). Then I realised that when I had reached their home (in Worli here, on April 24, 2012) they had already killed Sheena and were planning to murder me," Mikhail said, recording his testimony before Special CBI Judge J C Jagdale.

"Had I taken two more pegs (of the drink allegedly offered by his mother) that day, I won't have been alive today," he added.

Mikhail had told the investigators earlier that his mother had offered him liquor spiked with drugs at her flat in Worli on April 24, 2012, the day Sheena was allegedly killed.

Indrani had asked him to have some more liquor, but he refused, saying he was not feeling well, he had said.

In the court today, Mikhail said that afterwards, whenever he asked about Sheena, Indrani would tell him that she was in the US for studies, and will call Mikhail herself once she settles down.

However, Indrani never gave him Sheena's contact details, he told the court.

Mikhail also recounted that towards the end of 2013, when their grandmother's health deteriorated, he again asked Indrani to provide Sheena's number.

But his mother told him that 'he should let Sheena live her life and not disturb her', Mikhail told the court.

After 2014, Indrani cut off the ties with him and his grandparents and stopped replying to phone calls, messages or e-mails, he said, blaming Indrani for their eventual death due to illness.

"I felt they should not have died the way they died. It was totally her fault. Had she wanted, she could have taken care of her parents. Her only solution was to send them to old age home," Mikhail said.

Sheena (24) was allegedly killed by Indrani with the help of others in a car in April 2012. According to the CBI, financial dispute was one of the reasons behind the killing.

The murder came to light in August 2015 after Mukerjea's then driver, Shyamvar Rai, arrested by police for possessing a firearm, disclosed it.
