Former media baron Peter Mukerjea, who was taken to New Delhi for two days for questioning by senior CBI officials and experts on the financial trail in the Sheena Bora murder case, was brought to Mumbai this morning as his CBI custody ends today.

He will be produced in a magistrate court later today where the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is likely to seek his custody to further question him in connection with the sensational murder case.

Peter, husband of Indrani Mukerjea, was arrested on November 19 and granted CBI custody till today by a special court in Mumbai.

24 year old Sheena was Indrani's daughter from an earlier marriage who was allegedly killed by her mother, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai in April 2012.

Earlier, Peter was evasive during his interrogation by CBI team in New Delhi which grilled him for several hours after he was shifted from Mumbai in connection with the case.

The CBI has claimed financial transaction as the motive behind Sheena's murder and that Peter during his interrogation disclosed investments of crores of rupees made by him and Indrani.

The central agency has also claimed that it has come across some important information and documents which are very crucial for the purpose of investigation with regard to the case.
