Shepherd, 70 sheep killed in road mishap

A shepherd and 70 sheep were killed in a road mishap near here in Krishna district today, police said.
A lorry carrying 70 sheep along with a shepherd hit a roadside electric pole and fell into a pit near Katirenipadu village under Musunuru Mandal in the wee hours, they said.
The lorry was on its way to adjoining Telangana.
The shepherd and his 70 sheep were killed on the spot, while the lorry driver was severely injured, said Musunuru Sub-Inspector Siva Narayana.
The deceased was identified only as Sidhardha (32).
