Grama Panchyat members of Kollur village at a press conference here urged the Government to immediately intervene to shift the tomb outside the temple premises keeping with the faith of the villagers.
According to existing belief, it is impossible to carry out routine worship and pooja's if a dead body existed within the Jattiga's.
Hence, the Grama Panchayat of Kollur had decided to shift the tomb outside the boundary and promised to give them land for setting the tomb.
They also alleged that the tomb set up now was made intentionally without following the routine procedure with a foul intention of creating a row.
Former MLC Balakrishna Bhat, Villagers Subrahmanya Adiga and Shripathi Acharya were present at the press conference.
