According to Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sushma Chauhan, the construction of helipad and allied infrastructure along with approach road is almost complete and helicopter services are likely to start soon.
Chauhan who is also the vice chairperson of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB), said that the final call on starting the service was likely to be taken in the upcoming board meeting.
Chauhan said the service will benefit the pilgrims who in the past were unable to visit the shrine due to the shortage of time. "Pilgrims to Vaishno Devi Shrine who have three hours time available with them will now be easily able to perform visit Shiv Khori," he said.
