The deceased, Abhinav Verma had reached his car accessory shop at Palam Extension around 10 AM when two bike-borne assailants arrived on the spot, fired shots at him from close range and fled, they said.
"Verma was alone in the shop when the incident took place. He was rushed to Bhagat Chandra Hospital where he was declared brought dead," a police official said.
Police suspect personal enmity behind the murder as there was no attempt of robbery by the assailants. A case of murder has been registered at Palam Village Police Station and further investigations are on.
Verma was unmarried and is survived by his parents and a brother, police said, adding, his family and friends would be questioned to ascertain the reason behind the murder.
