Lalu Soren, younger brother of JMM supremo and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Sibu Soren, passed away on Monday following a cardiac arrest in Bokaro General Hospital, party sources said.
Soren was 62. He left behind his wife and three sons.
Lalu Soren, who had participated in the Jharkhand statehood movement, was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain on Sunday evening and breathed his last during treatment.
He was also the district president of the party for a long period.
He had fought assembly election from Bermo and Gomia unsuccessfully.
He was cremated at Nemra village of Ramgarh district.
