'Sarbat Khalsa' will be held as per Sikh tradions, code of conduct and philosophy, United Akali DAl President Mohkam Singh and All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) head Karnail Singh said here.
Refuting the critiques of such a congregation, the Sikh leaders made it clear that 'Sarbat Khalsa' convened for November 10, a day ahead of Deepawali, is being held as per the Sikh traditions and code.
"For this a committee has been set up," they asserted.
They also asked Sikh scholars and intellectuals to attend the October 31 meeting at Jalandhar where they can give their suggestions to Sikh organizations.
'Sarbat Khalsa' would also decide the working of the high priests of five temporal seats of Sikhs, they added.
