Officers possessing experience of at least five years in the field of intelligence or information processing, investigation, information management, data management or maintenance and administrative-related work are eligible to apply, an office memorandum issued by the Ministry said.
All ministries or departments can forward duly verified applications of willing officers fulfilling the eligibility conditions along with the vigilance status, details of major or minor penalties during the last ten years and integrity certificate, it said.
The SIT, notified on May 29, last year, is headed by former Supreme Court judge M B Shah and has another former judge of the apex court, Arijit Pasayat, as its vice-chairman.
The members of the SIT include Revenue Secretary, Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India, Directors of Intelligence Bureau, Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, Financial Intelligence Unit and Research and Analysis Wing.
The SIT is responsible for investigating cases of black money stashed abroad and in the country through coordination of various members.
